We offer free UK delivery on all orders from our Ragged Life Shop - hooray! Once your order is placed, we aim to dispatch your items within 48 hours (Monday- Friday). For your information, we generally send out orders on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
We send out all domestic orders under 2kg via Royal Mail. They generally take 2-3 days to arrive once processed.
UK orders over 2kg are sent via a trusty local courier. They generally take 1-2 days to arrive once processed.
If Royal Mail or our courier are unable to deliver for any reason, they will leave a 'Sorry you were out' card to explain why they were unable to deliver and how to arrange redelivery or collection.
Bought one of our products for a birthday and need your order turned around super quick? We're a small team and do our best to help out where we can, so pop us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, and we'll try our very best to get your order out even quicker. We can't, however, make any guarantees.

In the very unlikely circumstance that your item is lost or damaged on its way to you, we take responsibility and will issue either a full refund or a replacement order. Please get in touch as soon as possible if you suspect your order has gone missing.
Firstly, thank you for purchasing from our Ragged Life Shop! We really do aim to please and hope that you love your product.
However, we understand that sometimes things just aren’t right for you and you may want your money back. If you are not satisfied with your purchase and would like a refund, our policy is outlined below.
As long as your item remains in its original condition, we accept returns. You can return your product for store credit, a different product or a refund, subject to the following rules.
You must request a refund within 30 days of your item being delivered to you and we will give you a full refund by way of the original payment method.
We aim to refund you within 7 days of receiving the returned item and upon expectation that it is in its original, undamaged condition.
We do not accept returns for unwanted items after the relevant returns period stated above.
Returning a faulty or incorrect item?
We're only human and occasionally mistakes can happen. If it's happened to you we're very sorry and we'll do our best to get the right items to you as soon as possible. If you have received an item from us that isn’t quite right then please contact us as soon as you are aware. We take pride in our products being top quality, so we always try to rectify any issues in a timely manner.
Please note: If you discover a fault outside of our 30 days return policy then we will not be able to issue you a refund unless there are extenuating circumstances, so please do get in touch at your earliest opportunity.
We do the best we can to match any requests of specific yarns, however there are some occasions where we don’t get it quite right. Our blanket yarn is a recycled product, therefore we rarely get the same blanket yarns twice. In these cases, you can return the yarn for a replacement or a refund. See the "Returns Process" section for more details.
To initiate a return please complete the following steps.
- Contact us and let us know that you wish to make a return. Please do this by email and include your order number and the item/ items you wish to return.
- Send all items back to us via the delivery service of your choice.
Please note, returned items are your responsibility until they reach us, so do take care to pack them properly so that they don’t get damaged in transit. We advise that you also get proof of postage in case you need to contact us about your return.
We try to be as eco-friendly as possible in all elements of our business, which is why we only use plastic-free, recyclable packaging across our boxes, padded envelopes and parcel tape. Please do re-use our padded envelopes and cardboard boxes where possible :)
WORKSHOP TERMS & CONDITIONS:
All materials stated in the workshop details on our website are included in the workshop fee. If you are required to bring additional materials to the workshop, this requirement will be made clear in the joining instructions sent to you when you book.
Light refreshments (tea, coffee, biscuits) are included throughout all workshops, but please note that our one day workshops do not include lunch.\
Full payment is required in advance in order to secure your place. We accept payment on our website by credit or debit card, or you can ring us to pay by credit or debit card over the phone. We also accept cheques but we would need to receive them at least 7 days in advance of the workshop date to allow for them to clear.
Workshops during Covid-19:
Given the uncertainty surrounding events during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are being more flexible than usual with any Ragged Life workshop bookings placed in 2019 / 2020. Please get in touch if you need reassurance or if you are unable to attend a booked workshop.
Cancellation by you:
If you need to cancel your place on a workshop unfortunately the following cancellation charges apply:
· Cancellation 28+ days before workshop date: 50% of workshop fee unless we are able to resell the place.
· Cancellation less than 28 days before workshop date: 100% of workshop fee unless we are able to resell the place.
If you do need to cancel, you are welcome to send another person in your place instead. This does not incur any fee. Please just advise us of your replacement’s name and contact details as soon as possible. We are able to swap you onto another workshop of equal value if you get in touch 7+ days before the class.
Cancellation by us:
In the unlikely event of us needing to cancel a workshop we will give as much notice as possible and will offer you a place on an alternative workshop. If this workshop is not suitable for any reason then your full fees will be refunded. Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any other/3rd party costs you may have incurred in relation to the original workshop booking.
Gift vouchers are valid for 2 years from the date of purchase. You have 7 days to cancel your purchase unless the voucher is redeemed within this time. Gift vouchers may only be redeemed against workshops and may not be redeemed for cash.

These Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between the Parties relating to these Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising therefrom or associated therewith) shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
